Steel will be having a Q&A after the film.
SYRENS OF THE SOUTH
Join us for the premiere burlesque show in Atlanta! Begun in 2004, the Syrens now perform regularly at the Little Tree Studios and they'll be bringing their multifaceted show to Outlantacon! But this isn't your average burlesque show — this is geared specifically to the geek audience! You'll have to be there to see what we mean! But expect to see one or two of your favourite comic book characters in situations you might have only imagined them in!
Soccer Moms Love Gay Sex
The mainstream media is starting to catch on that the hottest growing segment in romance fiction is romances pairing men with men, written almost exclusively by and for straight women. And these romances tend to be extremely steamy, and lots of them are paranormal, featuring gay/bi vampires, werewolves, lion men, you name it. These women, not surprisingly, are huge supporters of the gay marriage movement and other forms of gay rights. But tell us honestly, guys, do you feel objectified?
Panelists: Cecilia Tan, Kiernan Kelly, Kayelle Allen

Beyond Pokemon and Porn -- Anime and Manga for Adults
There is more to anime and manga than the two most well-know genres: kid's shows, or (on the opposite end of the spectrum) porn. Most of us know about Pokemon and Naruto, the Japanese anime for kids. And on the adult side, who hasn't heard of hentai and tentacle rape? But what exists between these two extremes? Is there anything for the discerning adult that's not cutesy and not porn? Come and learn about anime and manga (graphic novels) specifically targeted at adults. Interesting characters, storylines, and series are explored. Share your favorites and learn about new ones!
Panelists: Amanda Wiggins, Dan Benge

Beware of Homophobes, Homophobes Beware
Would you boycott purchasing an anthology that had writers you like in it, just because one story was by a known, vehement homophobe? Would you refuse to submit to a publication that included homophobic writers? Wouldn't it be more important to make sure your GLBT-positive voice was included in such places? Or would you just feel icky appearing in a table of contents with a writer whose anti-gay blog posts have turned your stomach? How does this affect Queer authors wanting to submit to such a work? How would Straight Allies be affected?
Panelists: Eugie Foster, Greg Herren, Dr. Scott and Kayelle Allen
